When on the subject of old video games such as NES and SNES, etc. Which word do you like better/remember more/is easier to say?
Retro or Classic?

Classic
the word retro doesn’t bring any feeling when I mention an old game I played, but classic or referring to something as a "Classic Video Game" really seems to sound right. Classic just has something more to it, more respect.

retro makes them sound more convencing and cool

Retro sounds cooler, and more gamer appropriate. Although when talking to non-gamers classic is the way to go.

I just say older games… I hate the word retro, and classic just makes it sound like it’s from the 40’s or 50’s…

I think Retro sounds cooler but Classic really means something different.
To me retro means older style graphics and sound. A game can be retro without being considered a classic.
A classic game is an old game which was so good in terms of originality and gameplay that it became a classic.
That’s my opinion anyway!
